Eugenia Elizabeth �Betty� Beugnet passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1927. Her parents were Eugene and Mary Wright, both originally of Savannah.

She moved to Fernandina in 1945 and graduated from Fernandina High School the same year.

After spending her early adulthood as a homemaker and raising her four daughters, she went to work for ITT Rayonier as a bookkeeper for the next twenty years.

In her retirement, she enjoyed travelling, playing bridge, spending time with family, and �walking the beach.�

She is survived by her four daughters, Sheila Beugnet, Sandra Beugnet, Sonya Michel, and Sylvia Beugnet; four grandchildren, Chris Flood, Melanie (Joe) Hresko, Daniel Beugnet (Annie Wang), and Ashley White; and great-grandchildren, Bryson, Izabella, Alauna, Ingrid, and Gyda.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00, at the Oxley-Heard.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Bosque Bello Cemetery.
