Ernest Moses Samson

2021-05-19

Pastor Ernest Moses Samson unexpectedly passed away at his home in Yulee, Florida on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the age of 45.

Ernest is survived by his wife Gloria Samson (Willcox) of 16 years; his children Jessica of Norristown, Pennsylvania, Dawson (15), Karsten (13), and Brielle (8). His parents Reverend D. Samson and Jayaseeli Samson, grandmother Aamchi Pushpa; siblings Bernice (Mukesh), Dorris (Jeba), Janet (Wesley), and James (Praveena) and 8 nieces and nephews.

Ernest was born in Neyvali, India on December 8, 1975 to D. Samson and Jayaseeli Samson. In 1994 Ernest came to the United States to study theology where he graduated with a Masters degree of Theology. On September 18, 2004 he married Gloria Willcox. Gloria was immediately blessed with daughter Jessica and they continued to grow their family with Dawson, Karsten and Brielle.

He loved growing and being with his family in Minnesota and then moving to Florida in 2015. Ernest loved doing a variety of things with his kids from playing in the backyard, taking the kids on a motorcycle ride, camping and traveling the world so they could see and experience the world that God created. Ernest along with his wife Gloria were passionate about reaching the world for Jesus Christ. They traveled many times to India to spread the gospel. Ernest and the Samson family were able to stay very close even though they were worlds apart. Ernest and his mother’s connection was incredible and deeply loving even though he lived so far away their bond was always strong. Working at Grace AG with his father was so was dear to his heart. He loved to spend time with his siblings and when they were all together there was a lot of love and fun to be had, to see them even gather and worship together was an incredible sight. Ernest was blessed to be a pastor both in India at Grace Assemblies of God and in the US at MN Tamil Church. On August 1, 2012 Ernest became a proud United States citizen after living in the US for many years. Ernest loved people and his presence lit up any room he walked into. There was no one that Ernest met that was a stranger. Ernest loved making videos and taking photos of every aspect of life from a deeply empowering video to just a simple funny selfie. Life was to be lived by him! He will be deeply missed by his wife, kids, and all his family and friends.

Ernest’s Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Mercy Hill Church, 85520 Miner Rd. Yulee, FL 32097

Ernest loved being colorful and vibrant so anyone in attendance let’s honor him by leaving your black at home.
