Estella Bacon Green

Estella Bacon Green, 83, was born on June 12, 1936 to Mr. Lawrence Bacon and Mrs. Annie Ashley Bacon in Waverly, Georgia. She was raised in Fernandina Beach, Florida and graduated Peck High School. She was the widow of Mr. Ulyses Green, Sr.
Her life work took her to New York where she worked in the Hotel industry and after returning to Fernandina Beach, she worked as a Cook at the Surf Restaurant for several years. She later worked for and retired from the Amelia Island Care Center, Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Mother Green was a devoted member of Miracle Faith Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Willie J. Franklin, Sr. and First Lady Emily D. Franklin, where she held the office of the Vice-president of the Women�s Ministry and held several other key positions as a Servant in the house of the Lord.
On Valentine Day, February 14th Mother Green was called by our Heavenly Father and is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a resident of Fernandina Beach Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center for the past two years.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her Son, Ulyses (Joe Black) Green, Jr., Daughter, Barbara Price Jenkins (Jimmy), Sister, Jeannette Bacon White, her beloved Grandchildren and Great grands, her best friends, Leon & Barbara Baker, a host of friends, as well as a loving extended family.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, February 21st from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors, 1305 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22nd at 11:00 AM, at Miracle Faith Church, 87688 Roses Bluff Road, Yulee, FL 32097. Viewing at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Bishop Willie J. Franklin, Sr. is the Eulogist.
Interment will be at Bosque Bello Cemetery.

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we�ve shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. My condolences.
