Tammy Stecker
I knew Mrs. Eunice from Amelia Springs Assisted Living in Fernandina. She lived across the hall from my mother. She was a soft spoken and sweet, sweet person. She always had something good to say. She loved the front porch at Amelia Springs when it was nice weather. She was often times my greeter when I arrived. I know she’s with our Lord now, and we will see her again!
Eunice I. Richley
2026-02-23
Eunice I. Richley, 99, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away February 23, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center, Nassau.
Mrs. Richley was born in Weathersfield Township, Ohio and was a daughter of the late Harry and Rachel Richards Bequeth. She grew up on the family farm, in McDonald, Ohio. While in high school she played the drums in the marching band.
She worked as a secretary for the Syro Steel Corporation in Girard, Ohio. She retired once but was then asked to come back to work and continued until her second retirement at the age of 87. Her husband of over 65 years, Philip, passed away in 2015. She moved to Fernandina Beach in 2016 to be near her family.
She will be remembered as a simple and easy-going lady and was liked by all who knew her. She had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, her dogs, who were her constant companions for years. She also thoroughly enjoyed the simple pleasure of sitting on her front porch.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Daniels and her five brothers, Russell, Ellis, Homer, Garfield and Adam Bequeth.
She leaves behind her daughter, Roselyn Myers and her husband, Robert of Fernandina Beach; her grandchildren, Briana Kenavey and her husband, Jeffrey, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Brendan Myers and his wife, Chelsea, of Fernandina Beach as well as three great grandchildren, Izabella, Amelia and Walker.
There are no immediate plans for a service. The family will gather later in the spring to remember her life, and she will be laid to rest with her husband in Youngstown, Ohio.
