Fred Fedorko

Fred Fedorko, age 73, passed away Sunday morning, February 7, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville FL. A 15 year resident of Amelia Island, Mr. Fedorko was born on November 5, 1942 in Sewickley PA, and was married to Miriam Dudiak for 40 years.
Mr. Fedorko graduated from Edinboro University in Edinboro PA, with a degree in Education, followed by a PhD in Curriculum Instruction from Akron University. Mr. Fedorko taught at Edinboro and East Stroudsburg Universities before retiring to Amelia Island. Even after leaving Pennsylvania, he remained a life-long Steelers fan.
Mr. Fedorko kept active in retirement, playing golf and serving as President of the Men�s Golf Association of Amelia Island Plantation, traveling, and entertaining friends and relatives with his love of cooking, magic and joke telling.
He is survived by his son, Steven Fedorko, his wife Julie and their children, Nathan and Alexandra, his daughters, Rebecca Dennison, her husband Troy and their children, Tanner and Zoe, and Adrienne Fedorko of Brooklyn NY and her fianc� Kody Schumm, his sister Mary Ross of Ambridge PA and his nieces and nephews, Chris Ross, Brian Dudiak, Maureen Dudiak, Eric Dudiak, Chris Dudiak, and grandniece, Allyson Ross.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11TH at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Jose Kallukalum officiating. Friends are invited to attend.
If so desired, memorials may be made in Mr. Fedorko�s name to the Salvation Army Hope House, 410 S 9th St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.
