Mr. Gerald E. Mick, Jr., 78, of Yulee, passed away Monday, February 23, 2022 at the Warner Center for Caring.

Born in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Gerald E. and Anna Baker Mick.

He spent much of his working career in communications. He and his wife, Sandy moved to Yulee from Roanoke, VA 20 years ago. He retired from the AVAYA Company. He represented them as a computer specialist at the Mayo Clinic.

Mr. Mick enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating with a passion. He also loved spending time with his metal detector look for all sorts of treasure. He was a member of Yulee Baptist Church and had spent time working to support and feed the homeless.

In addition to his parent, he was predeceased by his wife, Sandy, in 2015 and a son, Todd, in 2009.

He leaves behind his sons, Gerald E. Mick, III and his wife, Elaina, of Port St. Lucie, FL and Steven Mick and his wife, Linda, of Sevierville, TN; a sister, Mary Berg and her husband, Michael, of Newport, FL and a grandson, Todd Mick, Jr. as well as several extended family members.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Mick will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Bosque Bello Cemetery with Pastor Doug Sides officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife Sandy.
