Howard L. Kroese, 93, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2024.

Howard was born on December 10, 1930, to Roy and Anna Kroese in Sheldon, Iowa. His family moved to Casa Grande, Arizona, when Howard was a teenager where he graduated from Casa Grande Union High School. Howard and his wife, Edith Marie Jordan, met and married in Casa Grande, Arizona. He and his family lived in multiple Arizona communities before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1973. They moved to Fernandina Beach in 2021. Howard and Edith have two daughters, six grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. They were married just short of 72 years.

Howard worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company and then ATT. In his nearly 40 years with the company, he moved from a lineman position to a corporate manager. In 1986, Howard retired from ATT in 1986. After retirement, Howard and Edith pursued their passion for travel and missions. They loved travel for pleasure. They also worked as volunteer missionaries in Uganda, Israel, and Japan.

Howard was predeceased by his wife, Edith and his great granddaughter, Tilly. He is survived by his three siblings, Nora (Bill), Kenneth, and Ruthann; his daughters, Vicky (Jim) and Kristy (Mark); his grandchildren, Meredith (April), Elizabeth (Daniel), Hans (Rebecca), Peter (Taylor), Jordan (Aubrey) and Anna (John); his great grandchildren, Maggie, Elly, Jonas, Rivers, Maisey, Leila, Nathan, Isaiah, and Freyja.

Friends are invited to join the family at a graveside service at Bosque Bello Cemetery on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
