I met Jack when I first became a chaplain for Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland. Jack was always so kind and helpful to ask if he could help me with anything, knowing I was a new guy to the work of chaplain hospice care. I will always remember him for that kindness. My prayers are with the family at this time. Chaplain Mark Skinner, LPH

TOM JOHNSON July 18, 2019
I met Jack about 18 months ago when I became a Chaplain with Good Shepherd Hospice. Jack was one of my mentors here at GSH. Jack and I both pastored churches in Florida and Mississippi. We also shared a love for Ray Stevens songs! Jacks sweetness, zest for life, and love for his savior, will be cherished memories forever in my heart.

BLANCA STEA July 18, 2019
Oh Chaplain Jack, I will never forget your last morning here at GSH, when you appeared behind me from nowhere with such a calmed and peaceful demeanor. Quietly, just letting me know you could not remember your password. Something so common that has happen to all of us. I told you, dont worry we all forget and you calmly told me Oh, I am not worried. That morning, your quietness and soft spoken words made me stop from my hectic morning, and take time to listen to what my gut, my heart and what your demeanor was telling me. I mean really listen. Thank you! Chaplain Jack, I will never forget to take time to STOP and Really Listen.

Peace and comfort to those that knew you and loved you.

Even though Jack was a classmate at Forrest High School,I didnt know him very well. But I became to know him subsequently thru his Posts on the Forrest.com Website, especially the beautiful photos he shared. Beautiful. My condolences to family and Blessings for the honorable life Jack lived. I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. Blessings.

I was fortunate to work with Jack at Jacksonville Heights Elem for several years. As I was a technology challenged person, Jack was my go to guy for computer assistance. I cant tell you how many times he helped me over the years. He was always there when I needed himsharing his knowledge and kindness. I dont know what I would have done without him. I was able to see him just a year or two ago when we celebrated our former principals 90th birthday. He was so happy and upbeat with his new wife and mission as a Hospice Chaplain. I feel fortunate to have known him and he will truly be missed.
