My most vivid recollection of Jim is as we were watching a play being put on by the children of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Carrollton, Georgia. Jim was seated in the front row of pews. Suddenly, one of the children with a candle accidentally lit a silk church flag on fire. Jim did not hesitate. He leaked over a railing in front of him ran up and grabbed that Flagg and made a dash for the rear of the church. That’s the kind of guy I want on my team every time.

Jim was our wonderful next-door neighbor for several years. He and Penny invited us to come with them to Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

We feel as though we lost a family member. He always told people that I was his cousin and Donny was the brother he never had. Condolences to Molly and Mary and their families. He will be greatly missed.
