Jim was a dedicated Auxilian at Baptist Medical Center Nassau for several years and contributed much to the organization. He will be remembered for a gentleman and stabilizing influence.
James Sakai

James Takaharu Sakai, age 95, of Amelia Island, Florida passed away on October 14, 2021. He was born in Rochester, New York on June 23, 1926.
He honorably served in the Army during WWII and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Engineering. During his career he was an executive at several different industrial companies.
Upon his retirement in 1997, he moved to Amelia Island and served the community as a volunteer and president of the Nassau Baptist Hospital Auxiliary.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Cynthia Keller Sakai. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Stafford, his two children, their spouses, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
No service is planned at this time. Gifts in his memory will be welcomed by the Nassau Humane Society.
