Janet Lee Ross

2020-03-24

Janet Lee Ross left this world for a better place. She lost her battle with cancer on March 23, 2020. She has replaced her Delta wings with a new set of wings.

Born in Boston, MA, Janet was the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Petrulavage.

She worked for Delta Airlines for 34 years and retired as a flight attendant Onboard Leader on international flights. Janet made many lifelong friends during her years with Delta. While working for Delta, she volunteered to bring the troops home from Bahrain. That was a thrilling experience she recounted many times. She met her husband in Boston and they were married for 45 years.

Janet and Bob moved to Amelia Island In 1999. She immediately immersed herself in many of the communitys activities. From cooking schools at the Ritz Carlton to serving as a board member of the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival and the Amelia Arts Academy, Janet made friends and never stopped learning and participating in her life on the Island.

She leaves behind her loving husband Bob, relatives and many lifelong, loving friends.

We will miss Janets fabulous cooking, her generosity, her contagious love of helping so many people with her time and talents, her smile and funny wit and mostly her friendship.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
