John Ransom McCluskey Anderson

John Ransom McCluskey Anderson, 18, of Yulee passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020.
Born in Jacksonville, he was a son of Johnny Ray Anderson and Brianna Andrews Cole.
Ransom lived his entire life in Yulee and attended Yulee High School. He loved to fish and no matter what, he lived life for the moment. He was especially excited about the plans he had to start a business with his mother.
Ransom was well loved by his family and friends and he loved his family and friends in return.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Frank Andrews.
He leaves behind his father, Johnny Ray Anderson of New Bern, NC; his mother, Brianna Andrews Cole of Callahan; a brother, Dakota Vanwey of Yulee; sisters, MarLee Anderson of Switzerland, FL, Brooke Anderson, Layla Anderson; a sister, Ashley Hill and a brother, Chase Hill, both of New Bern, NC; his grandparents, Penny and Rick Abernathy of Yulee and Johnny Anderson and Louise Toler , both Vanceboro,NC; his step-father, Kenny Cole, Jr. and his step-mother, Dawn Anderson as well as several extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service.
He will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
The family asks Ransom be remembered with contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Ransom, I remember when we were younger and I used to visit you after school. We�d do some pretty dumb stuff and god at the memories man. Of all people I least expected you. You were a good friend and an even better brother. Your wisdom will last a lifetime and then some. The CPI family where his step-mother, Dawn Anderson, works is devastated by this news. He was too young and had such a future ahead of him. We will never understand why until we see him when it is our turn to see the light. All the best to the family.
