Josephine "Josie" Anne Tringali peacefully went to meet her Lord and Savior at the age of 94 on August 5, 2025. She resided at Fellowship of Amelia Island, where she was affectionately known as Rosie Josie.

Born and raised in Fernandina Beach, Josie dedicated her early years to helping her mother cook and care for her father and brothers, who were shrimpers. In honor of her, they named a shrimp boat "Miss Josephine." Josie was also a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where she found community and faith throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francesca and Salvatore, as well as her siblings: Sebastiano, Salvatore P., Anthony J., Joseph A., Angelo T., Frances, and Concettina. Josie leaves behind eleven nieces and nephews, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, at Oxley Heard Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, with burial at Bosque Bello Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to St. Michael's Catholic Church in her memory.
