Thank you for allowing me to take care of Joshua King until his last breath and allowing me to dressed him for hospice. It was a pleasure meeting him for 7 years and having fun with him at the care center of Nassau Miner South C house. Love you Joshua King gator fan!!

Joshua “Josh” King, 53, passed away on April 20, 2026. He was born on February 20, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida. Josh was raised in Fernandina Beach, where he built many lasting connections and memories. Josh was a graduate of Fernandina Beach High School.

Josh resided at Care Centers of Nassau, where he formed meaningful relationships with both caregivers and fellow residents. He was known for his friendly nature, his love of conversation, and his ability to bring a smile to those around him. He especially enjoyed socializing and never missed a chance to interact with others, particularly the ladies, who appreciated his charm and warm spirit.

A devoted sports fan, Josh had a special love for the Florida Gators and was an avid wrestling enthusiast. He found great joy in attending sporting events alongside his family and caregivers, moments that brought him excitement and connection.

Josh is survived by his mother, Charlene Strickland; his brother, Earl (Susan) Page; his sister, Heather Johnson; and his half-sister, Kelly Swanson. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his love of people, and the happiness he shared with those who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on April 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes Cemetery, located at Oak Street and Palmetto Street, Yulee, Florida 32097, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember his life.
