Throughout their marriage, Juanita enjoyed traveling. Family vacations were spent exploring different states, and each summer would include a stay in northern Michigan. Once their children were grown, Juanita and Donald expanded their travel to international excursions and continued to enjoy travel to visit and spend time with their grandchildren.

Her lifelong hobbies included reading, sewing, and she was an avid baker, collecting many recipes throughout the years. She also enjoyed shopping, especially for others, and spending time at the beach.
She is predeceased by her husband Donald, her parents, and three siblings.
