Judith Brenda Dinkens Jones was born on April 19th, 1962, in Fernandina Beach, FL to the late George W Dinkens Sr. and Lucille Henderson Dinkens of Yulee, FL. She grew up in Yulee, FL and attended public school finishing from Fernandina Beach high school. After graduating from high school, she married Gary D. Jones Sr. from Fernandina Beach on Sept 10,1987.

Judith began working at Amelia Island Care Center, as a CNA. The couple traveled for a few years and returned to Fernandina Beach to start their lives with their children. Judith continued to work in the medical field at the Amelia Island Care Center, Nurse staffing, Quality Health, Jane Adams house and Savannah Grand in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Affectionately called “Judy” was a hard and dedicated worker, overly loved her children and family, providing them with her love and support. She was very creative and enjoyed having fun. She also loved to cook and bake. Her favorite to bake was red velvet cake.

Judith departed this life on Tuesday, March 31,2026 at Pruitt Health Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in St. Mary’s, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gary Danel Jones Sr. and 4 brothers, Thomas Daniel, Cicero Emanuel, Larry Windell and George Washington Dinkens Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving 5 children, Gary D. Jones Jr.(Atlanta, GA.; Courtney S. Jones (Kingsland GA), Cameron D. Jones (O’Neil, FL), Tiffany Jones (Seattle, Washington) and Serenity Jones (Kingsland, GA) 8 Grands and 1great grand. Her 4 brothers, Arthur L. Dinkens, Enoch E. Dinkens (Sandora), Charles L. Contessa, Julius B. Dinkens (Johnnie Mae). Her 5 sisters, Lucille M. Green (Joseph), Sharon D. Ford, Christa B. Mobley (Alvin), Alean D. Jackson and Sabrina A. Dinkens. A host of nieces and nephews, godchildren and a very special friend, Brenda Rainey.
