Juell Stanley Hammett, widow of James W Hammett, passed away peacefully in her sleep today November 17, 2024.

Juell was born June 16,1929 in Wilmington, North Carolina (New Hanover County) to Lawrence Paul and Irene Blackburn Stanley. She married to James Warren Hammett, Sr. on December 14th, 1947 in Phoenix City, Alabama.
Juell considered herself still married to Warren for 75 years even though her husband Warren passed away August 5th, 1999. They had 3 children.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hammett was predeceased by her daughter, Felecia Hammett; her brothers, Lawrence Paul Stanley, Jr., Robert Carroll Stanley and his wife, Winnie, Lemuel Chester Stanley and his wife, Debbie and a sister, Dorothy Blackburn Canaday and her husband, Hillion.

She leaves behind her children, James Warren Hammett, Jr. and Karren Hoskins and Karren’s husband, Don; a brother, Charles Winslow Elishia Stanley and his wife, Kathy a sister, Paula Stanley Carter and her husband, Stanley and a granddaughter, Pam Hoskins.

The family has requested no flowers, but donations to made to H.A.R.P.S. (Homeless Animals Rescue & Program Services) at 150 Crosscreek Circle, Macon, Georgia 31210.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Warren, at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Georgia.
