June F. Johnson Age 91 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 30, 2024.

Born on March 3, 1933 in Trenton, NJ to parents, James and Anna Kemble, her mother’s maiden name was Anna Kadar.

June grew up in Morrisville, PA and graduated from Morrisville High School in 1950. After high school graduation, she began working for United Steel Corp. Fairless Works, Fairless, PA as a private secretary for the Open Hearth Division. She married Charles C. Johnson, Jr. of Morrisville, PA on August 15, 1953 at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church where she was also a member. They raised three children, Rick (Marianne) of Finksburg, MD, Ken of Cary, NC and Randy Johnson Sullivan (Robert) of Yardley, PA.

June also leaves behind her husband Charley after 71 years of marriage and her sister, Mary Jane Palmby (Robert); niece, Wendy and nephew, Todd and grandchildren, Brandon (Ashli) of Westminster, MD; Jenna (Steve) of Hampstead, MD; Brian and Connor of Cary, NC; Zachary (Lindsy) of Monument, CO; Dustin, Yardley, PA; and great grandchildren, Debra (Brian), Maci, Kodi (Brandon), Madi, Ava (Jenna), Arlo (Zachary); also extended family, Teddy, Barbara, Tim (Miller) and Nancy (Davis), life long
friends Phil and Alice Sapovits.

During high school June was a straight “A” student, drum majorette, played piano and sang in all the schools programs, voted best looking, played field hockey and basketball. June was an avid reader, reading hundreds of books throughout her life. June will be remembered as a generous, kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

June and Charley raised their children in Fallsington, PA and in her spare time bowled and played tennis, and was a volunteer “Candy Striper” at the Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA. Her children played multiple sports; she never missed a sporting event.

June moved to Phoenix, MD in 1980 for support of Charley’s career. She assisted him at Branch Electric Upper Marlboro, MD company functions, traveling around the world for Charley’s business and their pleasure.

After retirement in 1998 they moved to Amelia Island, FL where they found their dreams were answered. June joined the Fernandina Beach Golf Club and the Women’s Golf Association. One problem she had with the course was she hated the #7 south hole.

Funeral services will be held at Oxley Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach, FL on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

June’s final resting place will be the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. on September 11, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
