Karen we became friends immediately when we met. You are the most courageous woman I know. You have stood by so many in their battle against cancer raising funds and honoring those who won their battle No one ever thinks cancer will strike them but it did and you stood tall in your battle making us all so proud of how you handled it
It is your time to be healthy and watch over us as we continue to fight the war on cancer Until we meet again my friend

BRANDY HIBBARD January 29, 2020
My dear sweet friend how I miss you. I know that we will be reunited in heaven, but my heart is still heavy and my tears still flow every time I see your picture or talk with a family member, and especially when we are playing and singing with the praise team and you arent where you have always been in the media loft supporting us and cheering us on, and letting us know how much you love us. I hope you always felt the love coming right back to you. I will never forget the football watching parties, super bowls, Cozumel, band party trips to St Augustine and all the other wonderful times together. You have been the strongest woman I know throughout your fight with cancer, and you have now finished the race victoriously, for there is Victory in Jesus.

CHERYL TWARDZIK January 29, 2020
I grew up with Karen on Schwab Dr. Many of my childhood memories include Karen and her brothers. Those were some great days! Like many early relationships we lost touch. However, over the last 10 years reconnected. She was the most courageous woman. Even though she was so sick at times and had every right to doubt her faith, she NEVER did. I never heard her complain about the hand she was dealt and always talked with such love of her parish family and fellow workers. I am going to miss our conversations. I am praying for all of her family. She loved ALL if you so much. May God comfort you with his loving arms wrapped around each and every one of you.

JERI MILLARD January 29, 2020

Karen never met a person who was not immediately a friend. We loved seeing her smiling face, upbeat conversations and skills at SunTrust whenever we stopped in. She battled harder than anyone I have ever known against this horrible disease; we all thought she might win this one. You will be so deeply missed, Karen.

Karen and the SunTrust team warmly welcomed us to Amelia Island when we retired here about four years ago. Karen was an exceptional banker, and she quickly became a wonderful friend. Well miss her friendly and helpful spirit every time we visit the AI branch. We pray that God will bless and comfort her family and friends in the days ahead.

TOM AND CAMILLE CENTOLA February 2, 2020
Needless to say I was not only shocked but extremely saddened when I was made aware of Karens passing.
Without question she was a very caring, loving, personable and overall wonderful person.

Although I did not know her that well on a personal basis, I know that she was very proud of her family as they were of her. When Karen and I would meet to discuss banking business we would TCB and then have some of the best conversations about God, life and family.

She will be terribly missed. My prayer is that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the day of her passing held Karen in the Palms of His Strong Caring and Loving Hands as he gently placed her in her eternal resting place. Rest assured that she will be together again with her family and friends. May they feel the presence of God each and every day. All will be well.

JIM AND PEGGY HOLZ February 3, 2020
