Kathleen D. Klee, age 80, of Fernandina Beach, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 25, 2016 at the Warner Center for Caring.

Born in Buffalo, NY she was one of six children born to the late Charles James Klee and Esther Schwing. Raised in a devout Catholic home; as she grew up she aspired to become a Nun. After high school she went on to Canisius College and then to Brazil for 3 years to teach English. Upon returning home she settled in the Buffalo area and worked for a time as an Operator with Bellsouth. In 1972 she moved to Florida and lived in St. Petersburg, West Palm Beach and Fort Myers before moving to Fernandina Beach in 2006. She has always been very devoted to her family�s Catholic heritage and supported the local parishes wherever she may have been living.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Tommy and James Klee.

She leaves behind, her daughter, Raeann Alboher and son in law, Heath Alboher, Fernandina Beach, FL, her three sisters, Betty Riggs, Mary DeJoseph and Laurie (Delores) Klonowski, all of Buffalo, NY, two grandchildren, Mitchel and Charlee Alboher as well as several nieces and nephews.

A small family service will be held at a later date.
