I have known Kevin practically my entire life. He was one of my best friends growing up on Amelia and was one of the nicest and most honorable men I have ever met. He loved nature. He loved his island. Kevin will be missed by so many because he touched so many lives in his, far too brief, time on earth.

Kevin was an exceptional man and dockmaster..I�ll never forget his welcoming words, when I called the marina on the radio, coming in after a long solo sail from Charleston. I felt like coming home. He had that gift, though I was a customer, to make me feel like a friend. Rest In Peace!

Kevin has been part of our family since his days at the Council on Aging. What a kind generous person with a remarkable ability to befriend everyone. He was so wonderful to my daughter at the Marina when she worked there and the staff adored him �.our family is devastated to hear of his passing�much love to all of his family. He made this world a better place.

Kevin was a classmate of mine and we grew up together. In manhood like when we were kids, he was a kind and decent man. He was the �salt of the earth.� I have great memories of Kevin. I know the reunion with his parents was special, and I hope he gets to see David Pearson in heaven. I will miss seeing you at the docks old friend. My prayers and Christian sympathies go out to his wife and children. The FBHS class of 1980, mourns the loss of our classmate. Godspeed Kevin. I will see you on the other side.

I am so proud that I can say that Kevin was my best friend from Second Grade up through graduation.,and beyond. From our many trips to the Daytona 500 and Twin 125�s to the Keys with his father, and photography trips to the Okefenokee, Kevin was an outdoors, family-centered and kind gentleman. After marriage and raising families, we would spend the majority of our little time together catching up on what Blanche, Harrison & the boys, along with Janet, Jeremy & Justen were doing since our last vists.

I am going to miss Kevin. He was like a brother to me through our teens and early 20�s. I pray Kevin Rests In Peace knowing he was loved by so many people from Fernandina Beach and around the world.

I had the fortune to interact with Kevin a number of times during my time working on various issues and projects related to the marina. I know that Coleman Langshaw and Joe Springer thought the world of Kevin and the comments from others indicate that affection and appreciation extended far and wide. No matter how serious the condition of the marina, Kevin was there always working with such a positive attitude. The community, and especially the marina community, will miss him greatly. Kevin was always there for everyone at the marina. He was kind, enthusiastic, and extremely knowledgeable. He became the face and heart of the Marina. A welcome voice on the VHF when returning to port very similar to the comfortable feel of a lighthouse in your home port. He will be sorely missed.

I�d bring my 17? Boston Whaler Montauk to the marina back in �89 from Atlanta and Kevin would treat me like I was docking a 38? Bertram! Kevin was the consummate dockmaster, ambassador and friend to so many of us�but his kindness and humility is what I�ll always remember about him.

I didn�t meet or know Kevin�s family but he sure was great guy, and I always grateful to see Kevin when I pulled up to Fernandina�s docks where his great attitude welcomed everyone sincerely and equally.

Reading the condolences for his family assures me many of us regret his passing and will miss Kevin dearly. Fernandina has lost a gem.

Kevin was one of my closest and dearest friends, and I am heartbroken at his passing. Not only did we spend countless hours, days and years together as co-workers, but I was lucky enough to enjoy some time off with him, as he taught me how to fish from a skiff, at the edge of oyster beds for trout and reds (actually he caught the fish, and I just caught the oysters). He taught me about NASCAR, in a way that made me appreciate the finer aspects of the sport�and he was such an amazing nature photographer, from pictures of Florida Panthers in mid-jump, to an amazing close-up of a male Painted Bunting in his back yard. Kevin was the most loyal of friends, and the mold was broken when he graced our lives with his life. I will always treasure my friendship with this wonderful guy, and I will miss him for the rest of my life.

We met Keven in 2008, we were welcomed with open arms, like old friends. We always stop at Fernandina Harbour Marina on our way to the Bahamas and on the way back. One year we came in late, and we called the Marina, for some unknown reason Kevens was still at work, but was leaving. He told us to grab moring ball, as we always did and we could square up in the morning. Kevens was always an upright gentlemen, always willing to help. Going to try lyrics miss that man of honor. Kevin was a wonderful person! He tidied up the Marina picking up even the smallest scrap of paper. He had a smile and kind word to say for everyone. He took time to answer questions and talk to visitors. I got to know him when the Harlequin Duck appeared May of 2017. He kept track of �Harley� always sharing where he had last been seen. He knew the shore birds, when they would appear and what their habits were. He was a joy for me to know. I will miss seeing him on my walks to the Marina.

I am absolutely crushed. Kevin and I met in Kindergarten and he was one of my closest friends. I have spent more time than I could count at his house as a kid. We have camped in his yard and mine. Every day of high school he would show up at my house on his motorcycle in the early morning and we would ride to the beach before going to school. We camped literally hundreds of times around the island. He and I worked at Little Talbot Island during the summer, spent weeks exploring Big Talbot, TIger, Cumberland and caught more fish than I could count. We even ended up in the News Leader once after a great day of fishing off the bridge on the South End. He truly was salt of the earth and a great Amelia native. I will miss my friend.

Kevin Little was such a pleasant employee of the Fernandina Harbor Marina and friend too. We always talked about fishing while getting our charter boats ready and on our return with big catches too. If there was a problem at the marina, Kevin always fixed it in an extremely pleasant manner. Myself, my son Terry David and all the Captains will miss his presence deeply, however on the bright side, we spent many fishing seasons enjoying his wonderful personality!

It was a terrible shock to learn of Kevin�s passing!! Our heartfelt condolences to his family. We made it a point to stop at the marina on our annual journey on the ICW. Kevin, without fail, would greet us as old friends and miraculously find a slip for us�not always an easy task. Reading the condolences has confirmed for us that Kevin was a very special individual!! The good ones leave us all too soon!! Our yearly trips will just not be the same without Kevin�s warm welcome.

Kevin Little was known up and down the East Coast as the �true face of Fernandina� and hands down the best Dockmaster in the business. His kind gentle nature was legendary. It is with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of my dear friend Kevin. As a delivery captain, I have been moving yachts up and down the east coast since 1988. I always looked forward to pulling into Fernandina, even if I didn�t have to, just to see Kevin. I truly loved that man and his passing has left a hole in my heart. Sleep you gentle man.

I only new Kevin in his role as dockmaster, but he was a pro, and made every boater feel welcomed and appreciated. He was the face of the business there, and I know he would have wanted the marina to get up and running again.

I moved my boat back into Fernandina Harbor Marina today, almost a year after we lost Kevin. It�s not going to be the same here without him. He was a good soul, always willing to do whatever to help a fellow traveler.
