Lawrence J. “Larry” Pratt, 66, of Fernandina Beach passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at his home.

Born in Binghamton, NY, Larry was a son of Loren H. “Eddie” Pratt and the late Gay Winant Pratt.

He moved to Fernandina Beach with his family in the early 1960’s. He grew up in Fernandina Beach and was a member of the 1972 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School.

As a teenager, he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He loved football and baseball, the Florida Gators, as well as Nascar and Motocross.

He worked for Container Corporation for a number of years. He also owned and operated his own plumbing business. He later began work for the City of Fernandina Beach and he retired from the city.

He was predeceased by his mother, Gay Pratt in 2014.

He leaves behind his father, Eddie Pratt of Fernandina Beach; his brothers, Randy Pratt of Yulee and John Pratt of Fernandina Beach as well as several extended family members.

Funeral services for Larry will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors beginning at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service.

He will be laid to rest with his mother at Bosque Bello Cemetery.
