Lettie Patricia “Pat” Crews, 76, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Baptist Medical Center, Nassau.

Born in Jesup, GA, she was a daughter of the late Lacy A. and Lettie Nichols Crews. She moved to Fernandina Beach from Hilliard 17 years ago.

She was always known as a free spirit who loved to draw and paint and enjoyed sitting outside and visiting with her friends. She dearly loved going to the beach and watching the birds. She worked to stay active, riding her bicycle when she could. She also loved to walk and loved chewing her “double bubble” bubbled gum, freely offering a piece to whomever might be around.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughters, Cheryl Young and Jody Dupree; her twin brother, Lacy; her brother, Joseph Crews and sister, Julie Crews.

She leaves behind her children, Lisa (Jeff) Matthews of Elizabethton, TN, Louis Dupree of Valdosta, GA and Melissa (Scott Hall) Anderson of Hortense, GA; her sisters, Evelyn Rubenstein of Canton, GA, Ethel McCready of Fernandina Beach, Una Crews of Yulee and Cheryl Caldwell of Frederick, MD; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.

Her family is planning a small gathering of family members and close friends to remember and celebrate her life in the coming weeks.
