My a yi (Aunt LiLi) Thank you for the beauty you have given me in my life. I will move forward with your kindness and loveliness. I really love you and miss you very much

HSIAOTING

I miss Aunt LiLi… The spaghetti and meatballs she served in a big wok… And the way she used to say in Taiwanese: “人生沒有什麼好計較” — Nothing in life is worth fussing over. Thank you for all the care you gave me. I really miss you.

Faye Iem

Even though you are no longer physically here, your spirit continues to live in my heart and memories. Every moment we shared brings tears to my eyes. I miss you deeply.

Pat

Your thoughtfulness in preparing special meals when I came to visit was very humbling. You never failed to welcome everyone into your life. Thank you so very much for being my friend.

Cindy Bell

I will miss you so very much.

Li-Hsiang McIntosh

2025-06-17

Li-Hsiang McIntosh entered eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Originally from Taiwan, Li-Hsiang, welcomed with gratitude, her new life as a wife and American citizen. We are all better for her courage, hard work, and dedication to living the life God gave her to the fullest. Li-Hsiang was loved by all who knew her, and preparing meals for others was her love language. This love was shared with her family, friends and customers at the deli she owned and proudly operated for over a decade, Schaefer’s Deli.

As the matriarch in our family, Li-Hsiang was filled with the love of Christ, and was a beautiful, faith-filled, humble, and extremely generous woman. She inspired each of us, was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. We ask you to remember her in your prayers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald, her children LuAnne (Erik) Hudson, Lisa (Gregg) Bell, James (Jodi) McIntosh, and Michael in addition to thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are four sisters, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Oxley Heard Funeral Home, 1305 Atlantic Ave., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5PM until 7PM with a rosary service at 5:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 201 N 4th St. Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11 AM.
She will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
