Linda Louise Connor

2022-01-20

Linda Louise Connor, 75, of Fernandina Beach passed away unexpectedly at Baptist Medical Center, Nassau in the early morning of Thursday, January 20, 2022.

She was born in Palatka, Florida and was a daughter of the late C. L. and Annie Sigmon Geiger.

Linda was a dear lady who thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings. At those gatherings she would cook and all would enjoy her food. She was an excellent cook for all of her adult life but she always wanted to improve because she loved all things about cooking. She would watch cooking shows and then test her newfound dishes on family. All of those dishes were enjoyed.

In addition to cooking, she thoroughly enjoyed playing cards. Whether it was a friendly game of poker or a serious game of Gin Rummy she had a ball and seemed to always be the winner. Linda was also known for her skill of being able to play the piano “by ear”. No matter the tune, all she had to do was listen to it for a bit and she could walk to the piano, sit down and play it as if she had known it all of her life. Linda will be remembered as a fierce competitor and a loyal friend.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, David Geiger.

She leaves behind her children, Tera (Dan) Gilmartin and Mark (Joanna) Coleman; her siblings, Becky Crawford, Carlton (Debbie) Geiger and David Geiger; her grandchildren, Katie, Summer, Grace, Daniel, Finnegan and Seamus; her great grandchildren, Paisley, Everett and Eliza; nieces and nephews, Kim (Charles) Boyett, Connie (Derrick) Stitt, Christopher (Nicole) Geiger and Michelle (Aaron) Okayama as well as several other extended family members.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there are no services planned at this time.
