Loraine Annette Bauchmann, age 75, died peacefully in her Amelia Island home on Saturday March 25, 2017. She was a resident of the island since 2013.

Ms. Bauchmann was born in Meriden, Connecticut on December 8, 1941, and was raised in that city. She attended Georgian Court College in Lakewood, New Jersey, graduating in 1959. Following graduation, she gained business experience through a sequence of positions in New York City, San Francisco and Melbourne, Australia. In 1986, she founded Briggs House Antiques, a very successful business in Westchester County, New York. The business was her passion through the rest of her life.

Ms. Bauchmann�s many interests included music, literature and traveling. Her travels spanned the globe, and were especially concentrated in Britain and Western Europe where she was a frequent visitor because of her antique business. Her knowledge of antiques and her diverse experiences were reflected in the eclectic d�cor of her home, which all her friends remember well.

Ms. Bauchmann is survived by her younger sister, Nancy Brink, of Falmouth, Massachusetts.

She will be laid to rest with her parents in Gethsemane Cemetery, Meridan, CT.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory should be made to the charity of one�s choice.
