Mrs. Loretta May Wells, age 81, of Woodbine, GA passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Born in Flint, Michigan she was one of six children born to the late Alfred Linley and Mildred Louise Day Adams. In 1951 she married Willard Samuel Wells in Chicago where they made their first home and began their family. In April of 1982 they left the cold and moved to Florida. After moving to Nassau County, Mrs. Wells worked for a short time at Smile Gas on Sadler Road.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and time spent with her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Willard Wells, Woodbine, GA, their children, Gene Wells (Faye), Woodbine, GA, Sharon Wagner, Fernandina Beach, FL, Gary Wells (Tammy), Kankakee, IL, Carol Stacy, Glenn Falls, NY, Julie Gettins (Craig), Yulee ,FL, Judy Lovequist, Woodbine, GA, Alan Wells, Fernandina Beach, FL, Denise King, Jacksonville, FL, Debra Williams, Fernandina Beach, FL, Ronald Wells (Robin), Roseville, MI, Richard Wells, Yulee, FL, a brother, Donald Adams, NJ, twenty eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
