Marcia LYNN Schenkel Meyer, 82, of Amelia Island, Florida passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 after a brief stay at the Warner Center Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Born on May 13, 1943 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Helen & Elbert Schenkel, she grew up in Westfield, NJ where she graduated from Westfield High School and then graduated with a degree in secondary education from Cedar Crest College. She married Geoffrey E. Meyer in August of 1965.

Lynn worked as a middle school history teacher before a successful second career in real estate. She was an active volunteer in her community and enjoyed golf, playing bridge, cooking & travel.

Lynn is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Gail Talbott. She leaves behind her husband, Geoff, of 60 years. Lynn and Geoff raised and adored their three daughters and their three son-in-laws; Laurie and Kevin Conroy, Jill and Gary Zielinski and Hollie and Rob Foley. She also very much enjoyed visits with her eight grandchildren; Drew, Caroline, Carter, Alex, Ashlyn, Trinna, Jack and Lillian.
