Margaret C. Mishoe

Margaret Cranford Mishoe, 68, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 22, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center Nassau.

Born in Asheboro, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Charles Leon and Margaret Wallace Cranford. A 1968 graduate of Asheboro High School she did her undergraduate work at the University of South Carolina. She went on to earn her Ph. D. in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina as well.

Margaret loved to read and was a big fan of Shakespeare. She was a lifelong educator and was a light in any classroom. She had retired from Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach where she had taught for many years. She moved to Fernandina Beach six years ago to be near her brother.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Earl Mishoe in 2017.

She leaves behind her son, Staff Sergeant Lance Mishoe and his wife, Natalie, of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; her brothers, Wallace Cranford and his wife, Leigh Ann, and Charles Cranford and his wife, Ann of Greensboro, North Carolina, her three grandchildren, Courtland, Dalton and Chloe and her best friend and neighbor, Cheryl Lynn Carr.



There are no local services planned at this time. She will be returned to her native Asheboro where she will be laid to rest with her parents.
