Marian Frances Stillo

2021-09-16

Marian Francis Stillo (nee Clark), passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on September 16, 2021 in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Marian is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Marie Clark, her brother George F. Clark, her loving husband Charles L. Stillo and her loving son Anthony Charles Stillo. Marian leaves behind her daughter Melanie Marie (Curtis Johnson) and her three cherished grandsons, Brandon, Charlie and Noah. Marian was also a fond Aunt, cousin & friend to many.

Marian was born on December 10, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. She lived proudly in Chicago with her family for the majority of her life before recently relocating to Fernandina Beach, Florida with her daughter & family. Marian was a loving & devoted wife to Charles for 40 years. She was proud of her role as a nurturing homemaker; however, she dutifully assisted her husband with his refrigeration business for many years when his health declined. She was an amazing mother to both of her children; her love and support knew no bounds when it came to her family. She was a “Mom” to many, friends of her kids knew that if they needed somewhere to stay, a ride any time day or night or a home cooked meal, she could be counted on. Marian was proud to be a Grandmother, her grandsons brought so much joy to her life; she never missed a moment to make sure they knew that. She was compassionate, graceful, kind, patient & resilient. She was beautiful inside and out, she was everything a mother should be. Anyone who turned to her, knew she listened with an open mind & her advice was always heartfelt.

Marian had a soft spot for animals, she believed that animals were angels in disguise. During her lifetime she rescued many animals, giving them a second chance at life. She had a passion for art & love for theater, which she shared as often as she could with those around her. She also loved music and enjoyed dancing.

Marian lived a full life. Those she loved, she loved deeply. She is joyfully reunited in heaven with her loved ones that passed on before her, however she leaves those of us behind with beautiful memories & broken hearts. While her time on earth has ended; the love she shared is forever. May she soar with the Angels and dance among the stars…happy in the heavens, we will meet again once more.

Funeral Mass will be held for Marian at 11 a.m. on October 23, 2021 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Fernandina Beach, Fl. Marian will be laid to rest at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Niles, IL. Services for Marian in Chicago will be announced at a later date.
