Marilyn Merwin Stone, 87, passed away on October 20, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Her friends & family all knew her as "Sue". Sue's family & friends loved her dearly, & she very much loved & accepted them all, & was happy to do so.

Sue was born in Sharon, CT on June 28, 1933, the daughter of Seth Thompson Merwin & Hazel Meader Merwin of Millerton, NY.

She received a Bachelors Degree in Education from SUNY Cortland in 1956. She married Donald Bradford Stone June 24, 1956.

Sue and Don taught school & resided in Champaign, IL from 1965 to 2009, where she and her husband worked and raised their family of 3 boys. When Sue & Don retired they had many exciting travels as Red Cross disaster volunteers across the US and its territories. In 2009 she & her husband moved to Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Her surviving family includes 2 sons, Bradford Stone of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Brian Stone of Wichita, KS.

Her 3 grandchildren loved her as dearly as she loved them. Johnathan Stone of Wichita, Kansas Rachel Stone of Cleveland, Ohio and Sarah Stone of Fernandina Beach, Florida

She was preceded in death by her husband August 21, 2013, and by her youngest son Bruce Stone, November 1, 1990.

She will be buried in the family plot at Irondale Cemetery in Millerton, NY.
