Such a shock to hear about Mark. We worked together at Rayonier for years and he was always a good person to talk things over with. He would give you the straight scoop and brought up points you may not have considered. More importantly he was a fine person, great character, a sharp wit and a good sense of humor. I missed talking to him after the mills split off into RYAM but would call when I needed some advice or just to check in. Mark was one of those people that made you better and made the world better by being in it. We will miss him dearly. We will keep the family in our prayers.

Mark was truly one of a kind. He was one of the nicest, kindest individuals I ever had the priviledge to know. We developed a friendship while he was still at Jesup and that friendship grew once he moved to Fernandina. Mark was always a pleasure to visit with and was brutally honest which is probably what I liked best about him. He was honest but always expressed his honesty in the kindest possible way. I will miss Mark and the lunch get togethers we shared. RIP my friend.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about Mark. He was such a terrace guy. I ran into him at Publix about a year ago, I had not seen him since I closed my business in 2008. We chatted a while. He always praised you and spoke of his love for you and fior God. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Penny & David Smith

Mark was a wonderful co-worker to me and an even better friend to me and David. We shared many conversations, laughs and lunches! He was a great source of encouragement and never failed to make us laugh. He was truly a pleasure to be around. We will miss our friend. Our deepest condolences to Nancy and family.
