After leaving high school, he served in the Air Force, stationed in various bases throughout the United States, England, and France. Mark’s love for his family was the driving force in his life and the source of strength for his many accomplishments. He was a voracious reader, especially history. He read for knowledge.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Lyle, James Lyle and Dwight Lyle; and sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Cook and Ann McIntosh.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Isobel; daughter, Amy Lyle; son, Greg Lyle and daughter-in-law, Rachel Castro; his siblings, Paul Lyle (Joan), Joe Lyle (Barbara), John Lyle (Kathy), Wanda Meeks (Randy), Brenda Edge (Mark), Jesse Lyle (Barbara); brother-in-law, Mike Cook and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Tom Dunn and numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
