I have known Marth Jean for many years. She always had a smile and was a perfect Lady in her attitude in handling people. Martha Jean was a ball to joke around with, and she could make you so happy just talking to you. I use to laugh a lot when she would call me and say "Hi K.LLLLLLL drawn out like she always did to me. Martha Jean was the sweetest Lady I have ever known. I am sorry for her boys who she cared the world for. May God hold you in his arms Marth and one day I will meet you again. God Bless.

Martha Jean Martin, 88, of Fernandina Beach passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Douglas Center for Caring in Jacksonville.
She was born in Ocala, Florida and had worked for many years for the State of Florida as an administrative assistant in Tallahassee, Gainesville and Jacksonville. She moved to Fernandina Beach 14 years ago and while living here she worked as a volunteer at Ft. Clinch State Park.
She leaves behind three sons and six grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest at Bosque Bello Cemetery as part of a private family service.
Her family is planning a celebration of her life later this coming fall.
