We are sad to announce the passing of Martin Lemke, of Fernandina Beach, Florida. He died at 82 years old on May 17th, 2023.

He was born on April 26th, 1941, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Harold and Faye Lemke. Martin graduated high school at Upper Lake High in Northern California in 1959 and was an artisan of body and fender work and a boat captain in Hawaii. He was a lifelong biker who enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting. Martin was funny, caring, outgoing, and quite a character.

He was preceded in death by his son Craig Lemke, and leaves behind his sons Brad Lemke, Rodney Lemke, and Joseph Sweeney-Lemke, and his daughter Martinique Lemke-Figus. He also leaves behind his 2 sisters Marilyn Smith and Nancy Zimmerschied, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as his beloved pup, Elsa.

There will be a celebration of life at the Hammerhead Beach Bar on Saturday, June 10th from 3:30-6:30pm for anyone who would like to attend.
