I worked with Mary Alice during her years at Clearwater Discovery. She was one of a rotating candidates "trying out" for the position. I was pretty worried about her being chosen due to her petite stature. Our students could be a handful. I needn't have worried. She had a quiet but firm manner with all of them. When she retired, she told me her goals were travel and spending time with her grandchildren. I'm so happy she was able to do both. I enjoyed our time working together. Deepest condolences to all her family and friends; I know you will miss her.

We are heartbroken by the passing of a wonderful, caring friend. Mary Alice loved nature and animals. Her kindness knew no bounds. She was dedicated to helping young people succeed. She never retired from offering a helping hand to the next generation. She was an informed citizen, well-read and politically active. She loved her children and grand-children dearly, while being a wonderful role model! She will be sorely missed! Rest in peace, my friend!

I am so saddened to hear of Mary Alice's passing. What a fine and generous woman. She and I served on the Take Stock in Children board together. Her years as an educator were invaluable to the organization. As a human being,, Mary Alice was kind and caring. Something we see too little of these days. The world is a little bit darker without her..
