Mary Ann Bennett, age 67, of Yulee, Florida lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

She was born on June 18, 1951 in Homerville, Georgia to the late Jack E. and Mildred Waldron Griffis.

Mary Ann spent her early years in Homerville, Georgia where she attended Clinch County High School. She married Willie Eugene Wilson, Jr. and they moved to Yulee, Florida in 1974. In her spare time as a homemaker, Mary Ann was also a softball coach for Mary Ann�s Angels Softball team in Yulee.

She met and married Glenn Bennett in the mid 1990�s. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing and were avid NASCAR fans.

Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Willie E. Wilson, Jr, her beloved husband Glenn D. Bennett, her brother, Jack E. Griffis, Jr., and step daughter Mandy White.

She leaves behind her children, Roger (Lisa) Wilson of Stuart, Florida, Stephanie (Phil) Wilson of Yulee, Florida, Robert Wilson of Yulee, Florida, Elizabeth Wilson of Yulee, Florida; step daughter Melissa White; step son, Glenn Bennett, Jr ; brother Terrell Griffis of Atlanta, Georgia, sisters, Myrtis Crook of Atlanta, Georgia and Faye (Billy) Higgs of Alabama. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

Services will be at 11:00 on Friday, December 7, 2018 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard with Rev. Darryl Bellar, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
