Mary Theresa Maguire, age 80, of Amelia Island, FL passed away on February 14, 2024.

Born on October 9, 1943, in New York, New York, to the late Thomas Flanagan and Beatrice Kelleher, she also grew up there. She graduated from Fordham University. She married Sean Patrick Maguire on June 27, 1964, and over the following six years they welcomed three children into their home. Sean, Elizabeth and Jennifer remember her as a kind, patient and loving mother who supported them at every turn.

Mary and Sean moved to Amelia Island, FL in 2005. She was an active member at St. Michael Catholic Church as well as The Amelia Island Golf Club. She was a witty and generous individual who loved reading and spending time with family and friends.

Mary leaves behind her children Sean Maguire, Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth Edge (Aubrey), Jacksonville, FL and Jennifer Walls (Jeff), Charlotte, NC; 7 grandchildren: Jack Maguire, Tom Maguire, Hadley Maguire, Ryan Edge, Christopher Edge, Olivia Walls and Jillian Walls.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church.

She will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
