JAMES AND LISA STROZIER November 12, 2020
Our deepest sympathies to the Gleason family in this tragic loss. Along with all of the memories of things we did together when the family lived in Franklin, we have a constant reminder of Mike. About the time that we were building our house, Lisa had been down to visit friends in the area, and had gone to Mike and Carolyns house, and came back raving about how gourgeous their mantel was, along with the rest of the house. I called Mike, and asked if he could build something for our fireplace and send it up. He responded that he couldnt do it remotely, but, he came up and built the mantle for us. I look at it every day. Brings back many memories of all of our times together.

DAVID CAMERON November 13, 2020
I was part of the group to travel to Cozumel, Mexico on a scuba diving adventure. Even though I only knew Mike a few days his friendly personality made me feel as though I had known him for years. He told me about his many adventures since we both shared a love of scuba diving, snow skiing and riding motorcycles. His last minutes were spent diving on beautiful Francesca reef and swimming with the turtles doing something he loved. We should all be so lucky!

BRENT MAYO November 13, 2020

Writing a condolence message is a two edge sword. One side is that youve lost so someone who is a exceptional friend & the other side is you try to fine the right words to explain how his life elevated yours. His warm smile, his acceptance of you, his kind demeanor, the value of your friendship with him & his willingness to try to help you at a drop of the hat. I will never forget those wonderful attributes that the Lord bestowed in Mike. A wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, & a friend to all he met. I extend my prayers to Carolyn, his daughters & immediate familythat God s richest BLESSINGS of comfort , peace, & love help through this time. Thanks for sharing this wonderful Man with us.

Mike-A VailMountain Adventurer; A Minturn Mile Survivor; a Gentleman and Lover of Life. Always a smile and friendly comment. WHAT A GUY ! ! Although I knew him for only a few years, each year for that January week at the ole Apollo , his presence made it seem longer. DAVE NELSON November 15, 2020
Oh, my friend, I am so sorry to learn of your passing! A light of the world is lost. My heartfelt condolences to Carolyn and the girls. We enjoyed many adventures together when we were young skiing at Breckenridge, hiking in the Smokies, sailing in Florida and the Bahamas, and flying with some of those flights involving rather more adventure than either of us wanted. Ive known no other with such a zest for life, who challenged himself to face and overcome his own fears, who loved others with such an open heart. Im a better person for having known you, my friend.

To Carolyn and your three sweet girls, I offer my sincerest condolences on your loss. As a salesman to the Pulp and Paper industry, I always looked forward to visiting St. Francisville and spending time with Mike. His exuberance for life, his love for his fellow man, and his persistent optimism always lifted my spirits. His loving deeds and that friendly, open smile will live on in all of us.
