Muriel Ann Avery, age81, longtime resident of Fernandina Beach passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, FL.

She was born and raised in New Bedford, MA where as a young child became known as �Miss Sunbeam� and was the label for Sunbeam Bread Company for many years. She graduated from high school in 1954 and began working with the traveling circus where she met her future husband, Victory Avery. In the mid 1970�s she and her family moved to Nassauville.

Mrs. Avery had been a longtime and active member of the Springhill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class.

Her loving homemaker nature spilled over into her love for her church family and her dogs, cats, ducks, chickens and goats.

She is preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in November of 1998.

Mrs. Avery leaves behind, her sister in law, Jean Edge, Fernandina Beach, FL.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 pm on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from the graveside in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.
