Born on May 18, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida to Herbert Wallace Wilson and the late Mary Catherine Wilcox-Wilson. She grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Paxton high school. After graduating from FSCJ with a degree in education, she began working for Duval county school system as a substitute teacher.
Over the course of 15 years, her first marriage was to Calvin Leo Sears. The couple welcomed Amy Sears Wilkinson into their home as their first and only child. Her family was the heart and soul of her life. Nancy was a devoted and caring spouse to her greatest love, Albert Theodore Roche sharing 15 years of unwavering love and support. As a mother she was a constant source of guidance, warmth, and encouragement to Amy and all those who saw her in that way. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren Sarah, Joshua and Andrew Killmeyer and great grandchildren, River, Hunter and Leighlan.
One of her greatest joys in life was her brief stint working for Carnival Cruise Lines. She adored meeting new and interesting people, sharing stories, experiences and pleasantries with them and overall contributing to the wonderfully exciting experience of travel.
Nancy's generous spirit extended far beyond her immediate family. She had a natural inclination to lend a helping hand to those in need, making a positive impact on everyone she encountered.
