Oliver Conway Rowe, age 78, of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center � Nassau.

He was born on July 10, 1939 in Callahan, FL to the late Marcus and Maude (Cowart) Rowe.

Mr. Rowe joined the US Marine Corps in 1956 and served honorably until 1958. He then worked as a shrimper on the East and West coast of Florida and off the Texas coast. He was also employed by Terminal Bag in Yulee, FL and Container Corporation in Fernandina Beach, FL. Oliver retired from Flagship Property Management.

He loved fishing, the Florida State Seminoles and the Tampa Bay Rays.

He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty years, Betty Jean McCarthy Rowe; sons, Brian (Dawn) Rowe, Michael (Christy) Gordon; grandchildren, Hannah Patrick, Blake Rowe, Jon- Michael Gordon, Crystal Gordon, Lindsay Albritton, Logan Stevenson; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Terry (Jill) McCarthy and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the home of his son: 851030 Avant Road, Yulee, FL
