Paul Raymond Madden

Paul Raymond Madden, 86, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Paul was born on April 21, 1940, in Great Falls, Montana, to the late John and Sadie Madden. He grew up in Butte, Montana, and graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant and Aide-de-Camp to Brigadier General A. J. Montgomery in New York. In 1967, Paul married Karen Davis.

Following his military service, Paul held executive positions in the airline and industrial gas industries. In 1990, he founded Princeton CryoTech, a company specializing in cryogenic equipment and applications.

Paul lived a full and vibrant life. He loved traveling the world and had a deep appreciation for beauty, art, history, and discovering new places. He was an accomplished golfer, a talented artist, and an avid admirer of birds and wildlife. He found joy in sharing his curiosity, kindness, and love of learning with everyone around him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Karen, Paul is survived by his loving children, daughter, Kelly (David) Money, and son, Brian (Karen Frid) Madden; and by his cherished grandchildren, David Jack and Austin Money, and Ilana and Adina Frid-Madden.

The oldest of seven siblings, Paul is also survived by his sisters, Mary Margaret Madden, Sally (Woody) Held, Mary Talbot, and Marian (Richard) Marek, as well as his brother, James Madden. He was predeceased by his brother, John Madden.

A Funeral Mass will be held on October 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission Church, 86000 St. Francis Way, Yulee, Florida. A Celebration of Life will follow from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Amelia National Golf & Country Club, 95211 Clubhouse Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Paul will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
