Ms Polly was a very special and caring person and will be missed by many including all the Sims family. My sister Donna and I both attended her kindergarten class in the early 60s. My father worked with Gene at Rayonier and my mother stayed in touch with Polly for many years.. Everyone who knew Polly loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom, Max, and all the Hord family.
CLAIRE TAYLOR December 2, 2019
I loved Miss Polly in kindergarten and as a neighbor! She was the kindest person, and helped form the foundation of my life. This weekend I was thinking of the many children she influenced, who are scattered far and wide. My deepest condolences to Max and Tom, as I think of the fun times they had on the fence with my late brother, Joe.
DAVY BOWERS December 2, 2019
Very sorry for your loss. Hold your wonderful memories of your Mom close to your heart. She was alway very kind to all three of the Bowers kids. Every time I saw her she would ask how Peggy and Ricky were doing.

I was sorry to read of your mothers passing, but what an amazing life she lived. She touched the lives of so many with her sweet spirit and kindness, but especially the young children that she loved so much. It was such a blessing to grow up on Stanley Drive and she is a part of my memories of my childhood. Praying for God to give you the peace and comfort that passes all understanding. Remember the special times that you shared and let those memories comfort you.

PEGGY KING December 5, 2019
My mother, Blanche Hudson Ritchie Fontaine, counted Polly as one of her best friends when she was growing up in Raleigh, and she saw Polly as an adult whenever Polly visited family in Raleigh. My mother died young, at 52, but I still remember riding in the back seat of the car while Polly and my mother were in the front seat. How they would laugh! together! She was a very special friend to my mother and a very special person.
