Penny was truly an amazing woman and was caring, helpful, and compassionate to all who crossed her path. She was one of the most patient people I have ever met. I will miss seeing her sweet smile. God bless you, Penny, and all family members left behind. I pray for peace and strength for the family as they heal. Love, Krista Hodges

I just wanted to say Penny was the nicest and sweetest person that I’ve ever known. She never had an unkind word for anyone or anything. It was a pleasure knowing her, working with her and loving her.

I met Ms Penny at Yulee Elementary. She was such an amazing and inspiring person. Her smile was contagious, and her love for everyone was felt just by her presence. You will be missed by many. Go rest next to Jesus. We’ll see you again some day.

I first had the privilege of knowing Penny when I taught school at Yulee Elementary. She and Kathy Crews were always in the front office as a team! Penny always had a smile and if you needed something, she’d find it. Her soft voice and the way she loved helping the children was evident day after day. I was also fortunate to attend church with Penny for over 30 years. She was a dedicated Christian and loved her family deeply. I will miss her very much!

To know her was to love her. That was our sweet Penny. I came to know Mrs. Penny when I gained employment at YES in 2004. From day one Mrs. Penny showered me with love and friendship. She was one of my biggest prayer warriors. I was also blessed in attending church with her. She loved her Savior so much and led a life before us all that showed Him in her life. My heart has been so broken for almost 4 years because I even though we prayed every day for healing over her, the inevitable would end up taking place. God never said this road would be easy but He did guarantee us a way out and I am so grateful today that I know Mrs. Penny knew that way out. So as we mourn the loss, we will stand tall and carry on because that is what she would have wanted for us to do. She will always be in my heart as I loved her dearly. My prayers goes out to the family and friends who are left behind. If there is one soul who does not know Jesus as their own Lord and Savior, I pray that through her passing they may find Him. Go rest high Sweetheart! We will see you again one day soon. I love you Mrs. Penny and I will miss you forever!!

My grandparents were Jeff and Catherine Wood and they lived in Bryceville many years. Penny and I were play mates as little children and I have never forgotten that friendship.

They moved to Yulee, Florida in 1974 where they made a life for themselves.

Penny loved Jesus and was the true definition of a virtuous woman. After Jesus her greatest love was her family.
