Philip Bernard Dolan

Mr. Philip Bernard Dolan, 91, of Amelia Island passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center, Nassau.
Born in Billerica, Massachusetts, Mr. Dolan was a son of the late Philip F. and Blanche Sherburne Dolan.
He met his wife, Elaine Margaret Dolan, in high school in 1945. She was a cheerleader and he was on the football team. They married in 1951 after his graduation from Boston College.
Mr. Dolan served honorably in the U. S. Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. After service he would begin a long career in the retail industry. During his career he was a store manager for Sears Roebuck Company and also served as a Regional Manager for Bradlee�s/Stop and Shop Company as well as other companies.
After retirement Mr. Dolan worked with the Retired Executive Service Corps which took him to Brazil, Jamaica and Venezuela. Mr. Dolan and his wife moved to Amelia Island in 1992. Mrs. Dolan passed away in 2016.
Throughout his life, Mr. Dolan enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid skier, and thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and golfing. He passed his love for those activities along to his son. In addition to those pursuits he also enjoyed his time as a small aircraft pilot.
He leaves behind his son, Philip Adams Dolan of Maynard, Massachusetts; his daughter, Kristen Elaine Dolan of Amelia Island as well as two grandsons, Philip Patrick Dolan and Timothy Adams Dolan. He will be missed by his family and friends.
There are no local services planned for Mr. Dolan at this time. He will be returned to his native Massachusetts where he will be laid to rest with his wife in the family cemetery.

So very sorry. I always enjoyed visiting with Mr Dolan when he stopped by our Summer Beach real estate office to get updates. He will be missed.
