Mrs. Portia Cameron, age 65 of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away Wednesday morning, March 2, 2016 at St. Vincent�s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville. Mrs. Cameron was born Tuesday, November 21, 1950 in Manhattan NY, the daughter of the late James and Catherine Kritsas. She moved to New Jersey where she met and married Harvey James Cameron. While living in New Jersey she loved the trips to Madison Square Garden to watch the WWF. Mrs. Cameron became Manager of a Burger King in Freehole NJ and in 1987 moved to Raleigh NC where she continued to work for Burger King and raise her family. In 2003 she moved once again to Fernandina Beach with her family and was employed at Burger King on the Island. Mrs. Cameron enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, Soap Operas, and was passionate about her wrestling. She was a devoted employee to Burger King for over 30 years as well as a devoted and wonderful wife and mother.

She leaves behind her husband of over 40 years, Larry James Cameron Sr. of Fernandina Beach FL, her children, Jennifer Cameron and Larry James Cameron, Jr. Her grandchildren, Frankie and Shannon Clark, Anthony Powell, Sara, Tiffany and Brandon Cameron.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Reverend Curvin Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
