Ralph T. Turlington, Sr.

Ralph Thomas Turlington, Sr. age 65 of Yulee, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Mary�s, Georgia.

He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Jack Thomas Turlington, Sr. and Barbara Reason.

Ralph grew up in Yulee and graduated from Yulee High School in 1971. Having grown up on the river, he enjoyed fishing and shrimping in his boat. He met Charlanne Stokes 11 years ago on October 30th and the two have been inseparable since.

He worked in construction as a carpenter for many years in Jacksonville and was a member of the Carpenters Union. For the past 28 years, he worked as a Project Manager for a staffing company based at the Port of Brunswick, Georgia. In his spare time, Ralph loved coaching Pop Warner football and baseball in Yulee. Ralph was known as a hard worker and stubborn, but was always loving and kind.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kathy Turlington.

He leaves behind, his wife, Charlanne Turlington of Yulee, Florida; his sons, John (Theresa) Turlington of Kingsland, Georgia, Ralph (Sabrina) Turlington, Jr., of Waycross, Georgia, Peter (Roxanne) Turlington of Nahunta, Georgia, James (Amber) Turlington of Yulee, Florida, Adam Berry of Jacksonville, Florida; step-children, Sarah (Chad Wright) Bagley of Alabama, Jacob (Marissa) Carver of Brunswick and Jordan Carver both of Brunswick, Georgia. He also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2020 from the graveside in Hughes Cemetery.

His family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home.
