There is so much to say about Becky Jordi it�s almost too much to write in a short condolence. My prayers go out to Doug & her boys & their families. Becky was the most thoughtful, kind, understanding teacher. She had fun while inspiring her students to succeed. She & Doug sold me my first car and I proudly drove that white Toyota Corolla!! Her love of science was contagious and that desire to dissect, and later judge science projects With her as a colleague was very special times I got to spend with her. Her love of hymns & scripture songs still resonates in my heart as I sing them. Her infectious laugh & jolly spirit even when faced with the fight of her life. I am so glad I purchased her book & had her sign it. I will always love her forever!

Becky and I started Extension 19 years ago together and remained close friends. Teaching was her calling. She fought a tough battle. I can hear her telling us to not be sad but celebrate her life. Her enthusiastic and humorous personality was amazing even through tough times. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

Mrs. Jordi was an amazing teacher and an excellent mother. I spent many childhood days over at her house with her son Ben. (I�ll never forget the time we were loud one night and all of us boys got a whoop in� from Doug.

As the years have passed, I have fell out of touch with the Jordi family. But the impact she had on my life has never faded. She was a sweet lady and heaven definitely gained a special angel!

As a newcomer to northeast Florida I took Becky�s crash course on gardening in this locale. As a teacher she conveyed a wealth of information in a friendly and humorous manner. I�m so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from her. Becky was an exceptional woman and our little corner of the world is a better and a more beautiful place for having had her In it.

I was so sorry to hear of Ms Becky�s passing. She shared her cancer Journey with me and I shared my mom�s with her. She was a light and a joy to be around even in the midst of a cancer battle. Praying for your family.

Becky was my high school teacher many years ago and made a tremendous impact on my life. She had a gentle but passionate way of teaching that helped me fall in love with teaching and now I�ve been teaching for almost 20 years. She taught me beautiful hymns that I treasure and now pass on to my music students. When I get up to lead my students in singing, I still picture the beautiful expression of worship on her face as she would close here eyes and sing to the Lord. I�m praying for your family to have the comfort of the Holy Spirit surround you.

I knew Becky from Word of Life church. We both served on the visitation team. I was new to the church and we were teamed together for my first visit. I did not know her at all and was concerned about what we would have in common to talk about while in transit. She immediately put me at ease because we talked about what we both had in common, the love of Jesus. That�s what we talked about the entire trip. I will always remember that visit and her great love for fthe Lord, My condolences to Doug and the family.

We have had nothing but admiration and deep affection for Becky. Shortly after we moved here from Tallahassee in 2007, Jim took the Master Gardener course which was taught by Becky, and ever since then they stayed in contact, sharing information on various plants and gardening ideas. We loved her sense of humor, her amazing knowledge and her passionate interest in the natural world. She will be terribly missed and we extend our most sincere condolences to her family.

Here is a story Becky told me about an alligator named Reggie:
�Sitting on the edge of the retention pond I was hand pulling weeds, very focused on the job at hand. Suddenly, I hear a strange hissing sound coming from my left side. I turn to see a 4-5 foot gator, standing on all four legs, hissing at me. He was about 3 feet from me and his surprise closeness to me made me profoundly uncomfortable. It took a few minutes for me to get up on my feet but once I did, I started directing Reggie to get back into the water. I believe my direct words were, �go on, back up, keep going.� I kept directing the gator to back into the water telling Reggie to back off. What was so surprising was how obedient the gator was until he was totally back into the water. The gator visits occasionally but never comes up on the shore when I am working on the pond.�
