Rella Annette Videtto Smith, 74 of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on October 4, 2026 at Community Hospice.

Rella was born on November 4, 1951 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Charlie Levi Videtto, Sr. and Bertha Mae Willard Videtto. She grew up in Augusta, Georgia/North Augusta, South Carolina and graduated from North Augusta High School in 1969. After graduating from high school, she married Jerry Smith in 1969.

After graduation, Annette began working in a variety of office and bookkeeping positions. She became Comptroller of a company that owned and managed five other companies. She eventually opened her own accounting and bookkeeping business. After two years of marriage, Annette and her husband welcomed twin sons (Brian and Keith) into their home. Her children remember her as a loving and kind mother who always encouraged them to pursue their goals and objectives.

Annette was an accomplished seamstress making clothes for her sons when they were little. Later, she made prom dresses for several of her nieces as well as brides maids dresses for weddings. However, her real passion was children. She became Nana not only to her granddaughter Kassidy, but also to her many great nieces and nephews and all of Kassidy’s friends.

She was extremely active in Kassidy’s outside activities (dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, etc.) traveling to all of Kassidy’s events. Annette made sure Kassidy and her teammates had everything she could possibly provide to help them compete.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kassidy Ashlyn Smith, her brothers, Leanord Otis Videtto and Charles Levi Videtto, and sister, Vivian Louise Stampley.

Annette leaves behind her spouse of 57 years, Jerry Smith of Fernandina Beach, Florida, children Brian Smith ( Stacie) of Jacksonville, Florida and Keith Smith Davenport, Florida, siblings, Joanne Newman and Becky MacKendree along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on October 9, 2026 at Bosque Bello Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Oxley Heard Funeral Home from 10:00 for viewing and visitation.

There will be a funeral procession to Bosque Bello Cemetery for a graveside service to follow.

Rella will be laid to rest next to her granddaughter, Kassidy, in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
